Michael Polanyi is a Hungarian scientist who has gone from medicine, physiology, chemistry, and then to philosophy. In the fifties and sixties has long studied the construction of personal knowledge. These studies have raised enormous interest in the fields of management and organizational knowledge. Two researchers from Helsinki, Håkan Ylinenpää & Niklas Nilsson, for a recent intensive research on the transmission of experience among workers, were based on their studies M. Polanyi on tacit knowledge.
